I look into your eyes and all I see is beauty yet your world is ruled by fear. How can a person so beautiful be so fearful? I know you’ve been through some tough stuff in your life, I know you’ve felt unimaginable pain. I know you’ve wept at night and I know you worry yourself silly about things happening or things re-happening.

But you know what? Fear is weak and you can overcome it. Fear is a signpost to something deeper. If you looked inside of yourself deeply enough you would find unimaginable strength and power.  You can use fear and pain to move you to a place you never dreamt possible. A place full of possibilities, a place where fear is your ally which can be flipped into excitement. In this place, we see our worries for what they are, not real and not worth the attention. You can deal with bad things that happen when they happen. Don’t live your life just to worry. Stop looking for people to judge and blame and release your fears onto. You project your fears into huge overwhelming monsters. You can stop your reactions from making huge negative ripples in the world. Stop giving yourself things to regret.

Love is all it takes. A powerful tool that we all have at our instant disposal should we choose to utilise it. Self-love first and foremost leads to us being more able to love others fully and wholeheartedly. Love is the universal lubricant. Love makes us whole.

Introspection is a hugely underutilized resource. Use it!! In the end, all we want is to be loved, appreciated and accepted. Why don’t you start by giving these things to yourself, fully and unapologetically love yourself? How about you commit now to that? Love yourself, honour, cherish yourself. Grow in that space and I promise you, you will never want for anything. You will be contented and you will be fulfilled and that is all there ever needs to be. I love myself and I love you all and I wish you all the same.  Peace.

Great reminder to reminder to self-love and not let fear take the wheel!

  7. I was afraid of giving birth and becoming a mom and afraid of starting a blog and failing. I had both my kids without any meds and my blog is growing slowly but surely (with a lot of work of course). Fear can debilitate you but it can also motivate you. Great post!

    1. I have done the same, Monica. I had my second baby two weeks ago without meds, which was terrifying, and launched my blog a couple months ago…

I like how you said fear is a sign of something deeper. Really thinking about why we feel a certain way can reveal a lot.

Fear is not a trait I really relate to and I attribute that to my success in life. I see so many who are held back by it.

That’s fantastic. It would be great if more of the population were just a little more fearless

What a wonderful and inspiring post! It’s a great message for everyone, but I think that women can totally forget to care and love themselves. I know in the hustle of what I do daily, I slip up and don’t work out or show myself the care I show others. So thanks for the reminder, it’s much appreciated! ?

That’s the thing isn’t it, we can’t recover from something we aren’t aware that we suffer from

Great post and so important to highlight! We should give ourselves the same kindness we give others, self-love is so important, we have to take care of ourselves and keep our minds positive as much as we can ?
