A Passionate Parents Pursuit. Purposeful Parenting Blog

One single mission is the purposeful parenting blog, for parents committed to exploring Personal Power and Self-Mastery for the sake of the kids. My mission is inspire the next generation to be their own superheroes. I believe previous generations left the school system with little or no confidence or self-esteem. It was rudely snatched away in random bursts of judgement, manipulation, forced conformity and public humiliation!! But guess what, I’m here to claim it back!!! Did you know we didn’t even need to go there? Yea, it’s education that is compulsory, not school… but anyway, I digress. Are you playing small? I believe that empowerment is the answer, hopefully by mastering ourselves and reclaiming our power, we can inspire a generation of superheroes who aspire to greatness and naturally reach towards their awesome. We have learnt to play small in this world but there is so much more I just…

Since I often struggle with the way may day flows on a daily basis, I am a firm believer in setting healthy boundaries. I don't recommend trying to change too many things in your life at once, it's all about baby steps.  good luck with your journey.  Set days for deliveries, visitors, laundry etc. You won't get so frustrated about the build-up of laundry or being home for your special delivery if you know that you have booked and scheduled these kinds of things for specific days of the month. My favourite day to arrange for visitors, laundry, shopping and post deliveries is the 30th and 31st. That way I know we will be entering the new month with peace of mind that…

Mummy Thoughts on Self Mastery

I have been exploring what self-mastery means for quite some time now. So here are my thoughts on self-mastery, for me, self-mastery means getting unstuck by overcoming our fears, emotions and ego. Committing to greater life no matter the distance and hardships. Escaping the norm and blazing our own trail towards a life designed by ourselves and not dictated by others, Becoming the best versions of ourselves. I want this for myself and I want this for my children. I want it so badly. I want them to reach for their highest goals and attain them. I want them to be committed to lifelong learning and continuous improvement. I want them to see the opportunities hidden inside of their failures so that they're never too afraid to try. There's one thing I've learnt being a single parent and it's that kids don't always just do what they're told, well mine don't anyway. I raised…

Why Is Parenting So Hard?

I used to ask this question all the time and I always came to the same conclusion. It's my fault parenting is hard and guess what it's your fault too. 27 Habits Of Highly Empowered Parents, That You Can Easily Adopt.

In my pursuit of a better life for my children and I, I have learnt that there are a few habits of highly empowered parents that are mostly simple to implement but produce great results. Here are the top things I've learnt on my journey so far. 1. Listening Skills. Empowered parents listen to their children fully and completely, (even if it's interrupting important mum jobs) and support their children to work through any problems that have arisen. A child who feels listened to by someone will continue to communicate with that person openly. Show interest in her interests. Make sure that you are that person by listening intently when your child wants to show you their Minecraft world, list the trains in Thomas the Tank, showcase the latest makeup tutorial or toy unboxing video on youtube. 2. Freedom From The Opinion of Others. For everything that you do…
