Every year I like to do a review and find out what’s really working in my life and what truly is not. There’s no perfect time to ask these sorts of questions but as the new year looms I tend to find myself getting into the sort of mindset where i think it’s time to take a good hard look at life and work out how much of it is by my own design.

How often do you look at your life and think something’s not right but you can’t seem to put your finger on what it is that’s not right? It’s never a bad time to do a life audit and decide what’s working for you and your family.

Below are a few of the questions (in no particular order) I ask when I’m analysing what’s going right and wrong in my life. I hope you can find a few which will help you in your lifestyle audit before the new year comes along.

Does your blueprint match your current living conditions? Am I happy with my surroundings? The people in my life? The habits I follow?

Does your family have/ need/ want a mission statement?

Am I living in a optimal environment? What needs to change and how?

What’s been going well? Note Biggest triumphs/ achievements. biggest failures/ lessons?

Who do I want to be in life? What do I need to do to become that person?

What/who helps/hinders my performance?

What do you have to be grateful for?

What direction am I going in and am i happy with it? Where do I want to go? What do I need to do to get there?

What are my good bad money habits and what are some new ones I could create/adopt? Do I have any poor habits that my children are adopting?

Where’s the dead weight? What do I need to drop from my life in order to move forward?

How are my musts lifting me up or holding me back?

Who are the people that are most important to me? How can I improve my relationship with them this year?

How can I become more organised? What plans and goals are in place to improve the year? What systems do I need to adopt to improve my overall life?

How is my mindset helping or hindering me? How well do I manage my emotions and what could I do better?

What are my hopes/fears/ dreams/wishes? Where do I believe my potential lies? Are there any plans in place to move towards them? What am i fully committed to getting out of the next year?

Who are my biggest influencers/role models? Am I happy with their influence? Who do I want to be my mentors / Role models over this next year?

What else can/must I change/improve over this next year?

What new skills/ habits do I need to learn? How am I going to go about doing so?

I hope you’ve found out lots about yourself through asking yourself some of these questions. Go ahead and schedule some of your new goals and plan into the diary to help you move towards  you’re goals for the next yea. Good luck I know if you use this every year and stick to it, you will have a fantastic year

*Bear in mind when I say life and I haven’t specified, I’m referring to whichever section of your life that needs improvement. (career, business, finance, relationships, spiritual, parenting, education, environment, leisure. etc) It’s up to you to decide which need work. If you need to apply each question separately then I urge you to do so.
